Achieving CRES

Achieving CRES (Cash Releasing Efficiency Savings) is one of the tasks healthcare managers are frequently asked to perform. This has become even more important in the current economic climate. This presentation outlines how CRES might be achieved.

Healthcare managers should use this as a start to thinking about how CRES might be achieved in their service. As each service differs, certain strategies might not be viable or the impact of certain strategies might negatively affect the quality of the service. Timescales of implementation might also lead to CRES not being achieved through use of a particular strategy in this financial year but the future.

All this should be considered prior to undertaking any changes.
