post... discuss... read... react... brainstorm...
This is one of the best websites I've come across if you're new to working in sexual health and want to get a basic understanding of the relevant issues. It's aimed at the public rather than professionals and is run by the North East London Sexual Health and HIV network (NELNet).
It's got a really comprehensive guide to Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and contraception, as well as advice on related issues such as relationships, domestic violence, the menopause and cervical cancer.
It's also a great website to get ideas from if you're thinking of developing a local version, although you shouldn't use any of their content without permission.
NB the website doesn't contain any images of nudity or overly explicit language but is illustrated with pictures of condoms and discusses sexual acts in frank terms. Don't go on the website if you're going to find that embarrassing - although if you're working in sexual health you will quickly become unshockable!
